The Unique Artistic Community in the United States

Thesis Statement: In this paper I will analyse the history of the artistic community in the United States, including the different  cultures, the outside public’s view of the culture, and how this is unique to the United States, as opposed to other areas, like Western Europe.

Introduction: The artistic community in the United States has a unique and interesting history. Although it was influenced by western Europe, the United States’s artisitic community is very different. This is due in part by the public’s view of the community, the community’s reaction, and the place for arts in society. In this paper I will analyze the history of the artistic community in the United States by looking at the different subcultures, the public’s view of the arts, and the role that the arts play in society.

Conclusion: The United States’s artistic community is unique to the rest of the world and serves an important role in society.
